Getting Around the Stehekin Valley

Transportation Options

There are a few different transportation options to make getting around the Stehekin valley easy and enjoyable for you and your group. Bicycles for rent by the hour or day and even Polaris Rangers for those who want to ride in style!

Rainbow Falls Tours:

Available during the Lady Express or the Lady of the Lake 1.5 hour layover

During peak season, the Red Bus will take you on a 50-minute tour to the breathtaking 312-foot Rainbow Falls. Bus tours leave from Stehekin Landing. Tour departures coincide with the arrival of the Lady of the Lake passenger ferries. Tours are narrated by a park ranger of the lower Stehekin Valley.

Stehekin Shuttle Bus:

Shuttles leave from the Lodge, located at the Stehekin boat landing. The shuttles travel 11 miles up the valley to High Bridge. High Bridge is the primary trailhead for a variety of hiking trails, including the Pacific Crest Trail. The buses make various stops along the route, including a stop at the Stehekin Garden and the Stehekin Pastry Company.

The Stehekin Shuttle Bus can transport you from the landing to High Bridge and points in between.  Please book here in advance for all your shuttle needs.

Can-Am Rentals

Tour the valley on your own schedule!

The Can-Am Defender on the right has a flip out glass windshield, wiper, half doors and heated seats to keep you nice and toasty in the cooler weather, or allow open air flow in the warmer weather. It is available for rent during the Spring , Summer and Autumn months. The Can-Am Defender on the left has a fully enclosed cab, flip out windshield, power windows and a heater that will cook you right out, even in the coldest weather Stehekin has to offer. It is available for rent by reservation during the Autumn, Winter, and Spring months.

Rates start at $65/hour. **Reservations Recommended**

Dear Guests and Community Members, We are pleased Dear Guests and Community Members, We are pleased to share that Stehekin remains open, welcoming visitors, and is currently not being impacted by the Little Giant Fire. Businesses, lodging, recreation opportunities, and visitor services in Stehekin continue to operate normally, and we look forward to helping guests enjoy everything the upper lake has to offer. At this time, all Lake Chelan Boat Company and Stehekin Ferry schedules are operating as planned, with no changes to service. The current Level 3 evacuation boundary is located just above Fields Point Landing on Lake Chelan. Fields Point Landing remains accessible, and we will continue scheduled passenger pickups and drop-offs there for the foreseeable future. For passengers departing from Chelan, we have plenty of parking space available at our Chelan dock facility. Parking is $12 per night, and you can buy a parking pass for $75 for 6 months. Evacuation levels do not affect access to our Chelan operations, and guests can continue to arrive, park, and travel as usual. We are closely monitoring conditions and will continue to provide updates as needed. We appreciate your continued support and look forward to welcoming visitors to Stehekin and Lake Chelan. Please also remember that during times like these, it is especially important to continue supporting both our up lake and down-lake communities. Local businesses, employees, and residents rely on your continued patronage and support.
